Responses of the urban roadside trees to traffic environment
1 Introduction
Air pollution resulting from higher traffic volumes has become a threat on the
traffic environment. The roadside trees have been polluted by all kinds of pollutants such
as SO2, NOx and Pb and Cd. Automobiles emit fluoride adding to pollutants from
industries. The level of pollutants has been measured by plant monitors in an effort
to improve the health of roadside trees.
